• PEOPLEHOOD IN ACTION.

Project Activate (PACT) is an action-oriented grassroots community connecting Jews and allies ready to step into leadership with confidence and clarity. We bring together people with a deep passion for Jewish life, serving as a catalyst for connection, collaboration, and meaningful action that strengthens Jewish identity, connection to Israel, and resilient communities, while responding with purpose to rising antisemitism and anti-Zionism.

We exist across political, cultural, and geographical divides. Our work is rooted in belonging, courage, and shared responsibility. Many in our community are foreign-born or first-generation and previously lacked a clear path into the established Jewish landscape, but are now stepping forward to lead and contribute through community building, education, culture, civic engagement, and philanthropy. We are cultivating a new generation of unapologetically Jewish leaders who strengthen local communities while deepening global Jewish peoplehood and connection to Israel.

    OUR STORY

Project Activate (PACT) was born in the aftermath of October 7 to meet a growing need for connection and meaningful action within Jewish communities. In January 2025, in partnership with Tablet Magazine, we convened our first gathering in Charleston, bringing together individuals from across the U.S. and Israel. That weekend became the foundation for what PACT is today: a growing community rooted in mutual responsibility and a deep connection between Israel and the diaspora.

Building on that momentum, our second retreat in Carmel, California, in January 2026 brought together an extended group from the U.S., Canada, and Israel, deepening cross-border collaboration and moving from conversation to action to strengthen relationships, identify projects and initiatives, and reinforce a shared sense of responsibility.

    Our Mission

We empower Jews and allies to take action with pride and purpose as active partners in shaping our collective future. Project Activate serves as a strategic hub—building community and connecting grassroots leaders, many previously not engaged in organized Jewish life, with the collaborators, mentorship, and resources needed to lead, advocate, give back, and strengthen Jewish life and connection to Israel in tangible ways. We see this work as peoplehood in action, where identity is expressed through leadership, contribution, and connection to the global Jewish community.

    WHAT WE DO

Our work centers on annual immersive retreats and community gatherings that strengthen the Israel–Diaspora relationship and foster a deep sense of belonging. These connections fuel PACT initiatives, community-driven projects, and partnerships supported by mentorship, peer networks, and shared resources. To help participants direct their efforts and advance ideas, we organize initiatives into four flexible tracks: Civic Activism, Education, Culture, and Philanthropy. Through this relationship-driven, grassroots model, Project Activate helps cultivate a proactive, resilient Jewish future rooted in shared responsibility, meaningful action, and connection to Israel.
